A HISTORY OF SUCCESS...

|
Paul Lewan (center) and the sales force he recruited to open Lewan & Associates in 1972. |
After 16 years as a calculator salesman and regional manager, the company Paul Lewan worked for closed and left him out of a job. Being the natural entrepreneur and leader he was, Paul purchased the leftover inventory for pennies on the dollar, recruited a small sales team and started his own calculator business. Lewan & Associates, "The Calculator People" was born June 1, 1972. |
1982's Colorado Springs sales team lead the local market with the widest line of copiers in the area. |
As Paul sold off the leftover mechanical calculator inventory though, he began adapting other technologies that would position Lewan as a market leader. First Lewan & Associates started selling electronic calculators and typewriters, then added copiers, then computer terminals. |
Brothers Paul and Lloyd Lewan were known for their witty banter in frequent radio ads. |
In 1984, Paul's brother Lloyd Lewan joined the team to strategize Lewan & Associates' expanding business model. By the late 1980's Lewan & Associates was grossing sales in the tens of millions and had quickly built a reputation as a Colorado technology solutions leader. |
Forty years of dedicated leadership: (L to R) Paul Lewan, Jim Arnold, Fred Cannataro, Lloyd Lewan. |
Since, the company has grown to over 400 employees across the Rocky mountain region and under current CEO Fred Cannataro (a 30 year veteran of the Lewan team), Lewan continues to uphold the same high standards and superior reputation built by Paul and Lloyd Lewan. |
