This year’s annual Citrix Synergy conference took place in sunny Orlando, FL at the end of May. The event never disappoints and once again indicates that it’s going to be an exciting year for Citrix customers!

It’s coming up on two months since I attended Citrix Summit 2017 and there have been numerous releases, products and features I’m now excited to be able to share with you! Here's a rundown of what's new.

This year Citrix Synergy was hosted in Las Vegas, May 24-26, at the Venetian conference center. Myself and another engineer from Lewan attended and came back with our heads full of announcements, product updates and a look at what’s coming next. It’s going to be an exciting year for Citrix customers!

For those of you who couldn’t make it, or are still trying to digest all of the exciting and innovative announcements you heard while you were there, here is a recap.

If you’re running Citrix XenApp 6.0, or even 6.5, you should already know the importance of August 24, 2016. But if you don’t yet, this is the end of life (EOL) date for XenApp 6.0 (and for XenApp 6.5 for customers of who don't have Subscription Advantage), meaning security related Hotfixes, technical support and product downloads will no longer be available.

In a perfect world—in any Citrix XenDesktop deployment—all of the applications install, license and run perfectly on a non-persistent desktop. Unfortunately, the world is not perfect and there are applications out there that, for whatever reason, will not work properly on a non-persistent desktop.

I would like to discus the procedure for configuring and implementing Domain Pass-through with Citrix Storefront and Citrix Receiver.

First things first, let's get a receiver installed on a test machine.

Purpose:  This post explains Google Chrome functionality that can negatively impact the access to any Citrix environment.

Symptom: After clicking on a published application or desktop icon in StoreFront using Chrome--nothing happens.
